ATLAS, a Monash-designed and built AI-powered educational platform, has been shortlisted for the prestigious QS Reimagine Education Awards 2024. This award recognises this ground-breaking innovation in pedagogy and digital education. With over 1,000 students from 12 disciplines across five countries already benefiting from the platform, ATLAS is revolutionising professional education.

Dr Jo Blannin, deputy director of the Hub for Educational Design and Innovation (HEDI) at Monash University, is leading the educational design for ATLAS. Dr Blannin’s expertise in educational technology and commitment to reducing inequities in access to digital tools have been integral to the project’s success, ensuring that ATLAS aligns with best practices in pedagogy and learning design.

The 2024 QS Reimagine Education Awards, now in its 11th year, will take place from December 9–11 in London, UK. Dr Joel Moore, project lead for ATLAS, will attend the event and present the platform’s transformative impact on higher education. The conference will highlight pioneering projects that improve learning outcomes, enhance employability, and promote sustainable education practices globally.

ATLAS combines cutting-edge artificial intelligence with expert-designed pedagogy to provide personalised feedback tailored to the specific needs of each discipline. This feedback is shaped by criteria developed by discipline experts, ensuring that students receive relevant and high-quality guidance. Whether it's law students mastering client consultations, engineering students learning to explain complex technical concepts to stakeholders, performing arts students pitching creative ideas, or business students practising negotiation techniques, ATLAS is helping to bridge the gap between theory and practice.

As ATLAS continues to set new standards in professional education, the team looks forward to expanding its reach and helping shape the next generation of learners worldwide.
