For the third year running, Monash Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences Dean, Professor Arthur Christopoulos, FAA FAHMS and Director of the ARC Centre for Cryo-electron Microscopy of Membrane Proteins, Professor Patrick Sexton were among the frontrunners in Clarivate’s list of Highly Cited Researchers for 2023.
And for the second year in a row, Associate Professor Natalie Trevaskis, Head of the Lymphatic Medicine Laboratory at Monash Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences (MIPS), was featured in the high-profile roll-call.
All three have been named in a list of the world’s most influential academics in the field of Pharmacology and Toxicology.
The annual list uses quantitative and qualitative analysis to identify individuals from across the globe who have demonstrated significant and broad influence in their chosen field or fields of research.
Specifically, the Highly Cited Researchers' names are drawn from the publications that rank in the top 1% by citations for field and publication year in the Web of Science citation index, and the list identifies the research institutions and countries where they are based.
This year Clarivate announced 7125 Highly Cited Researcher designations from across 67 countries and regions.
In total, 19 Monash University researchers made the Clarivate list.
