Course specific information
Pharmaceutical science
- The Gold Medal Winner will be the student with the highest WAM over the length of the three-year course. If a student has received credit for any unit or units, calculations will be determined using the honours calculation system up until the year ending 2019. From 2020 the WAM will be used regardless of credit exemptions.
- There will only be one year-level winner for each of the three years, despite there being three specialisations at third year.
- The third-year level winner will be calculated as follows: The research project/industry placement and elective units will be excluded, and five core specialisation units will be used to determine eligible students. Of these, the winner will be the student with the highest average mark.
- In the third year of the course an award will be presented to the student in each of the three specialisations - Drug Discovery Biology, Formulation Science and Medicinal Chemistry – with the highest average mark based on each specialisation’s third year. Those who have failed a unit in the relevant year levels will not be eligible.
