Developing a Research Protocol Program
About the Monash Developing a Research Protocol Program
Our new Developing a Research Protocol Program offers specialised training and support for healthcare professionals, particularly pharmacists, aiming to enhance their skills in protocol development for practice-based research and quality improvement projects.
Developed by healthcare professionals with extensive experience in research management, education, and supervision, this program covers a comprehensive range of topics essential for designing and implementing effective research protocols. Through interactive self-directed online modules and facilitated workshops, learners gain a solid understanding of research principles and project design, and are able to apply this knowledge to develop their own research protocols.
Participants can choose between a non-assessed version or an assessed microcredential version of the program. The assessed microcredential version includes graded assessments and follows a competency-based grading scheme. Successful completion of the microcredential may also provide credit towards the completion of our other postgraduate pharmacy professional programs, such as our Advanced Pharmacy Practice Certificates.

(NB: *Note: completing the assessment for the 6 credit points is not a guarantee of entry into an award course. To join a postgraduate course, you must also meet Monash University’s entry criteria. If you are interested in this opportunity, please contact pharmacy.postgrad@monash.edu)
The program can be completed within 3-4 months, encompassing 100 hours of learning and assessment. This flexible structure ensures that learners can advance their research skills while balancing their professional commitments.
