Our research students work with Australia's largest, most experienced group of pharmaceutical scientists in the best pharmaceutical research facilities in the country. They collaborate across Monash with some of the world's best medical researchers, and with industry-leading partners, in areas like  nanotechnology,  pharmacy and pharmaceutical science. The Australian Research Council rates us 5/5 (well above world standard).

Applying for a research degree

To apply for the Honours  research degree, you need to:

Step 1: Check your eligibility requirements

The minimum entry requirements to study Bachelor of Pharmaceutical Science (Honours) are:

A bachelor's degree in pharmacy, pharmaceutical science, medicinal chemistry, formulation science, or other related field. An average overall grade (70%+) or higher in the final year of the course, or equivalent qualification and experience deemed by the faculty's Graduate research committee to be substantial preparation for a candidate's proposed field of study is required.

International students must also meet the Monash English language requirements.

For acceptance as an Honours candidate, the applicant must:

* have a suitable academic background;

* be accepted as a potential candidate by a supervisor; and

* have a suitable research project as a basis for the degree studies.
