Indigenous engagement

Acknowledgement of Country

Monash University recognises that its Australian campuses are located on the unceded lands of the people of the Kulin Nations, and pays its respects to their Elders, past and present.

Our Commitment

The Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences (PPS) is committed to advancing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander participation, self-determination and success across education, research, employment and community engagement.

As a faculty educating future pharmacists and pharmaceutical scientists and undertaking research across medicines, health and drug discovery, we recognise our responsibility to contribute to improved health outcomes and culturally safe professional practice.

Our Indigenous Strategy outlines how PPS will work with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students, staff, communities and partners to create meaningful and sustainable change.

This fits with Monash's broader commitment to recognising and including Indigenous peoples, cultures and knowledge through education, research and collaboration.

Get involved

We welcome engagement from Indigenous students, staff, researchers, health professionals, community organisations and partners who would like to contribute to or collaborate with the Faculty's Indigenous initiatives.
