Provide feedback
Your feedback and ideas count
Students are encouraged to provide feedback, and constructive ideas, regarding their learning experience at the University, and faculty in a number of forums.
Student Evaluation of Teaching and Units (SETU)
SETU is a survey providing students with the opportunity to provide feedback on their units and teaching staff. The feedback provides valuable information to inform unit enhancement and the student learning journey. Full details are available on the SETU website https://www.monash.edu/ups/setu. The faculty also works closely with MPSU in order to encourage students to complete the surveys conducted in the later weeks of the semester.
Student representation on faculty committees
Students are encouraged to discuss feedback or issues with Monash University Parkville Union (MPSU) and year level representatives who are active members on the faculty’s Student Liaison Committee and Education Committee. Both these committees are chaired by the Associate Dean Education, Paul White, with members from senior professional staff, and course directors.
Whilst SETU is conducted towards the end of the semester, MPSU and faculty staff encourage students to provide feedback throughout the semester, which can then be referred to the Committee, or for urgent issues, discussed directly with the course directors.
