2019 – Elaine Kwong and Ethan Kreutzer

2018 – Iris Kostas

Iris spent four weeks at the Honiara National Referral Hospital, Solomon Islands and her project was chloramphenicol systemic prescribing in the outpatient clinic of NRH. Read Iris’s full blog here.

2017 – Jake Bromley

Jake spent six weeks in Timor Leste, working with two former scholarship recipients, Michael Nunan and Alex Bongers.  Jake spent his time with the Timor Leste government, working alongside Michael Nunan’s company, MSupply. Part of his project was to analyse the efficacy of MSupply’s systems, particularly the impact of switching from paper to electronic inventory. Read Jake’s full report here.

2016 - Kyle Booth

Kyle Booth was awarded the 2016 Mathew Peck Travelling Scholarship. Kyle spent 5 weeks in Fiji working with the Fiji Pharmaceutical and Biomedical Services on a project relating to Antimicrobial Resistance. Read more about Kyle’s experience.

2014 - Jessica Dayment

The 2014 Mathew Peck Travelling Scholarship recipient was Jessica Dayment. Jessica spent six weeks in Fiji and her project was Meropenem Drug Use Evaluation at Colonial War Memorial Hospital, Suva.

2013 - Daniel Roitman

The 2013 Mathew Peck Travelling Scholarship recipient was Daniel Roitman.

Daniel spent four weeks in Honiara in The Solomon's. This trip afforded him an incredible opportunity to experience life, not just pharmacy work, but life, outside of Australia. 2012 - Lee Ross & Kahlinda Mahoney

The 2012 Mathew Peck Travelling Scholarship recipients were Lee Ross and Kahlinda Mahoney.

Lee travelled to Fiji under the supervision of Frances Ng (an Australian volunteer) and Rashika Gounder from the Pharmacy Department at the Colonial War Memorial Hospital in the Fijian capital of Suva. Read more about Lee's experience.

2011 - Brigid McInerney

The 2011 Mathew Peck Travelling Scholarship recipient is Brigid McInerney.

Brigid spent four weeks in The Solomon's under the supervision of the first recipient of the scholarship - Michael Nunan

2010 - Alex Bongers & Frances Cameron

The 2010 Mathew Peck Travelling Scholarship recipients were Alex Bongers and Frances Cameron.

Alex travelled to Tuvalu a Polynesian island nation located in the Pacific Ocean, midway between Hawaii and Australia. He was placed under the supervision of the chief pharmacist. For a detailed description of his experience, please read Alex's report.

2008 - Jane O'Connor

The 2008 Mathew Peck Travelling Scholarship recipient was Jane O'Connor, a third year Bachelor of Pharmacy student. Jane travelled to the Solomon Islands in January 2009, undertaking a project supervised by Michael Nunan who is a graduate of the faculty and the 2004 scholarship recipient. 2007 - Jaya Soma

The winner of the 2007 Mathew Peck Travelling Scholarship was Jaya Soma. Jaya will spent 41 days in Fiji surveying health facilities and evaluating use of medicines. She was located in the Fiji Pharmaceutical Service Centre. For a detailed description of her trip, please read her blog.

2006 - Madelaine Hong Hieu Nguyen

The winner of the 2006 Mathew Peck Travelling Scholarship was fourth year pharmacy student Madelaine Hong Hieu Nguyen.

After being awarded the Mathew Peck Travelling Scholarship at the Prize Giving Ceremony in April 2006, Pharmacy Practice Staff and associates from the Macfarlane Burnett Instiute for Medical Research worked closely with Madelaine to formulate her proposed project.

Madelaine left Melbourne for Vietnam on November 16, 2006, shortly after her final exam and spent 52 days in Vietnam carrying out her proposed project and helping to keep Mathew's memory alive and continue his ideals - a commitment to international health issues. 2005 - Jana Dostal

The winner of the 2005 Mathew Peck Travelling Scholarship was Jana Dostal.
