Mohammed Hussain
Mohammed is currently leading on Digital Therapeutics and healthcare services innovation within Viatris UK. Mohammed is also the Digital Therapeutics champion for 11 countries in the European Northern Cluster. Viatris is a global pharmaceutical company with a mission to empower people worldwide to live healthier at every stage of life, providing access at scale. In 2022 alone, Viatris supplied high-quality medicines to approximately 1 billion patients around the world.
Previously Mohammed worked for 23 years in the National Health Service in the UK, with 14 years as a senior DDaT (Digital, Data and Technology) clinical executive leader working at a national level in NHS IT Operations. Mohammed has led multi-professional clinician and non-clinical teams, working cross functionally to shape and deliver organisational goals. He has been responsible for the clinical leadership, safe operation and strategic development of multiple national services including NHSmail, IM1 (Interface Mechanism 1), National Care Record Service, Electronic Prescription Service, NHS Spine and more.
Mohammed has previously held a Board position at the General Pharmaceutical Council and is currently a
a Non-Executive Director at a NHS Foundation Trust in Northern England. Mohammed remains a
practising pharmacist.
