AAPS Monash University Student Chapter

The Monash University Student Chapter is one of several international American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists (AAPS) Student Chapters, and the first AAPS Student Chapter in Australia. The Chapter was founded in 2008 by a group of HDR students in the Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences (Monash Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences) and was approved by the AAPS Executive Council in May 2008.

The Monash University Student Chapter aims to connect and inform our community of pharmaceutical scientists and serves as a liaison between Monash University HDR students and post-doctoral fellows, Monash University, and AAPS.

The AAPS Student Chapter of Monash University is about:

  • Increasing awareness of career opportunities in the pharmaceutical sciences;
  • Gaining access to educational opportunities to educate on various aspects of drug development;
  • Giving opportunities for professional advancement and leadership development, enhance their knowledge of the latest advances and discoveries in the pharmaceutical sciences; and
  • Participating in AAPS outreach activities at the local, regional, and national levels.
