Vice-Chancellor awards shine a spotlight on high achievers

The 2025 Vice-Chancellor’s Education and Research Awards has honoured educators and researchers from the Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences for their exceptional work and impact on the Monash community and beyond.
Professor Natalie Trevaskis emerged as one of the faculty’s standout recipients at the November 11 awards, winning the Researcher of the Year Award (STEM).
In addition to her outstanding research, which exemplifies innovation, impact, and integrity, Professor Trevaskis was recognised for her leadership in equity, diversity and mentoring. Professor Trevaskis is an internationally recognised pharmaceutical scientist who has pioneered lymphatic-targeted drug delivery, transforming treatment approaches for metabolic, inflammatory, and acute diseases.
Other faculty winners include the ATLAS team who won the Award for Innovation in Learning and Teaching. The team is a collaborative effort including the Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Student Experience) and Senior Vice-President, Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences (Dr Angelina Lim, Emily Stokes, Dr Amna Mazeh), Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences, Faculty of Education and Faculty of Science.
Another team effort comes from The Power of Partnerships: Co-Designing Curriculum With Students to Enhance Planetary Health team, who won the Award for Programs that Enhance Learning. Also a multi-faculty effort, Dr Angelina Lim again represented the pharmacy contingent.

- Award for Innovation in Learning and Teaching - Teaching Interprofessional Collaborative Prescribing in a Digitally Enabled World, Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences, Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences (Associate Professor Steven Walker)
- Award for Industry Education Programs - Dr Laurence Orlando
