Employability Expo

The Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Science Employability Expo (the Expo), held annually in April, offers the opportunity for industry partners and pharmacy employers to meet with our students and present career opportunities.

The Expo is attended by pharmacy and pharmaceutical science students from across the faculty, and is a chance for our students to increase their awareness of the diverse range of jobs open to graduates.

Our students use this opportunity to ask employers specific questions to gauge expectations. Pharmacy students also investigate opportunities and meet employers they haven’t encountered on their Student Experiential Placements (StEPs). The Expo lets our pharmaceutical science students be better prepared for their Professional Placement Program.

Bringing employers to our students' screens

Since 2020, the Expo has been hosted virtually to allow students across multiple year levels to connect with our industry and research partners from all over Victoria and interstate.

Run over a week, the virtual event consists of live chat sessions, on-demand content, workshops and virtual booths. Each of our senior students are strongly encouraged to visit the Expo during the week, where participation and engagement can be tracked. In 2021 alone, over 4000 messages were exchanged between our students and the 50 participating organisations.

If you are interested in participating in our annual Expo, please contact Senior Student Experience Officer Alastair Thomas via email or on 03 9903 9090.
