Bachelor of Pharmacy (Honours) and Bachelor of Pharmacy (Honours) / Master of Pharmacy
The Bachelor of Pharmacy (Honours) / Master of Pharmacy Course Education Team welcome all of our new students! New students must complete the steps as per the Get Started website.
Please refer to the relevant Handbook Entry for details regarding the structure of your course and unit selection. Please note when selecting units for enrolment you should always refer to the Handbook Entry from the year in which you commenced the degree.
You must enrol into units for both semester 1 and 2.
The Graduate Entry Pathway is attached to our Pharmacy degrees and it allows eligible applicants, with a relevant completed undergraduate degree who meet the certain criteria, the chance to enter third year after completing an intensive summer unit, PHR1001 Bridge to practice 1. Students successful in the summer unit are credited the first two years of the Pharmacy degree and continue from the third year whilst completing an overload unit PHR1101 Bridge to practice 2.
Our undergraduate Pharmacy courses are full-time and fixed therefore students have a course plan set without choice of electives. There is also a pass by year rule and a pass by semester rule from year two. This means that any failed units will add an additional year to the duration of the course and intermission (break from study) will likely be required. Students should follow the course requirements as stated in the Handbook for the year in which they commenced their degree and plan their study using the relevant course map (found within the Handbook entry).
For re-enrolment please refer to our re-enrolment information.
The Scholars offering is embedded in the Pharmacy degrees and will continue at Parkville as part of our offerings for high-achieving school leavers. Students receive the following: a scholarship (domestic students), an Invitation to an annual networking event with the Dean and key members of the course administration team, an invitation to the regular academic seminars sponsored the Faculty, and recognition at the Faculty’s annual prize giving event. A course requirement is that scholars maintain a distinction average of 70% annually.
Please refer here for placement principal dates.
