What we do
Our four pillars
Communities in Australia and across the world deserve the best pharmacists and pharmaceutical scientists possible.
That’s why we’ve made a faculty-wide commitment to innovation in education. We want our alumni to be equipped with the skills and knowledge to make an impact from the moment they graduate – perhaps even earlier.
We’ve distilled our thinking into four “pillars” upon which the pedagogy for all of our courses is built.
Active Learning
Learn about our 'DEAR' model, which puts the learner in charge, with us as coaches. We immerse students in guided activities, working with their peers, receiving feedback from experts - and then support them to reflect on their successes and areas for development.
Experiential learning
Ensuring all students get the chance to apply their learning in the workplace
Skills coaching
Providing students with regular, structured feedback on their skills development, guaranteeing that they are always improving
Employability
Teaching students how to put their best foot forward
Our courses
Although our four pillars underpin everything we do in the education space, the differing nature of our courses dictates that they take a different form in each course.

Undergraduate pharmaceutical science
