Assistant director/pharmacist, Pharmaceutical Chemistry Section
Therapeutic Goods Administration
Bachelor of Pharmacy (Honours) 2009
I enjoy the fact that my role involves bringing together the clinical, legal and regulatory aspects of pharmaceuticals and applying them to real-life scenarios.
The TGA is responsible for regulating therapeutic goods, including medicines, medical devices, blood and blood products. My role involves preparing reports that examine the chemistry, quality control, bioequivalence and clinical data supplied by pharmaceutical companies. I work on new generic medication applications and applications to vary conditions of registration for existing products.
The constantly changing nature of regulations adds to the excitement of the job. My role demands that I keep up-to-date with global changes in science, research and regulation.
