I run the commercial function at Phebra, a company that specialises in identifying,
licensing and commercialising orphan and critical medicines in disease areas such as
leukaemia and cystic fibrosis. It’s a great job.
I joined the pharmaceutical industry straight after I graduated and spent 12 years with the company that’s now AstraZeneca, working in clinical trials, pharmacoeconomics, marketing and new-product development roles.
After completing a business qualification, I decided to focus on a business development career and was appointed vice-president of business development for Mayne Pharma / Hospira for the Asia Pacific region. I held this role for seven years, working on company merger, acquisition and product in-licensing projects.
