Master of Clinical Pharmacy 2007
A new role that combines management and clinical pharmacy allows me to draw on the skills I learned in my postgraduate studies.
The knowledge that my postgraduate-qualified pharmacist colleagues displayed impressed me as an undergraduate. I became a ward pharmacist at Maroondah Hospital after graduating and eventually manager of the hospital's dispensary area. When an opportunity arose that allowed me to interact more with doctors, nurses and patients, I jumped at the chance.
Studying for my master's, while working full-time and holding two part-time community pharmacy jobs, was challenging but worthwhile. I plan to use my hard-won skills to educate patients, staff and future pharmacists.
