Dr Johnson George
Lecturer in pharmacy practice, researcher
Centre for Medicine Use and Safety
My research interests are medication use and safety in the elderly, developing and testing new models of care for managing chronic conditions, and assessing and promoting treatment adherence in patients with chronic diseases.
After my PhD, I took up a postdoctoral position with the Prescribing Research Group in the School of Pharmacy at the Robert Gordon University, Scotland. My work there focused on prescribing initiatives by UK pharmacists and medication use and safety issues among the elderly.
I returned to an academic position at Monash in 2007 and now supervise research students in the faculty's Centre for Medicine Use and Safety.
