Welcome to Country and Smoking Ceremony

Our school is deeply connected to the land, water, environment and climate, and Indigenous Australian peoples have been the custodians of our land for 50,000 + years. To acknowledge this and to celebrate the start of the year and return to campus, we will host a Welcome to Country and Smoking Ceremony. This ceremony will be carried out by the Boon Wurrung Foundation, members of the Kulin People who represent the lands from the Werribee River to Wilson Promontory.

This event is open to the whole Monash University staff and student community, however participants must register ahead of the day
