This prize is awarded to the top student in theoretical physics at Level 3.
Dr Peter Lloyd was a Reader in Physics at Monash, and one of Australia’s most gifted theoreticians, who made pioneering contributions to condensed matter physics, particularly disordered systems, condensed matter field theory and the numerical renormalisation group.
This prize is awarded to to the top student in experimental physics at Level 3.
Professor Bill Rachinger was a Foundation Member of the Department of Physics who made significant contributions to materials science and metallurgy.
