Summer and Winter Research Scholarships
Summer and winter research scholarships (also called vacation scholarships) are run over the summer and winter breaks. If you're interested in a research career or furthering your studies through an honours program, this is a great opportunity to get ahead over the holidays.
Information about research scholarships in the School of Biological Sciences:
- Two advertisement rounds will occur each year, with applications opening typically during May for the Winter research scholarships, and September for the Summer research scholarships.
- Student projects run for 2 to 4 weeks and come with a stipend of between $200 and $500 per week.
- Selection is based on academic achievement and opportunity.

Campus Based
All undergraduate students must watch the Student OH&S Induction video and read the Students in Labs guide before arriving on campus or working in laboratories.

All undergraduate students participating in any School field trips must read the OH&S Off-Campus Activities safety guidelines before the trip - select either 'Rural/Remote' or 'Urban' activities as appropriate.
