Ensure you are aware of the eligibility requirements for Honours – if you are an external applicant you will be asked to supply academic transcripts that demonstrate equivalent academic performance.
You need to contact one or more academics in the School of Physics & Astronomy (via email and/or phone and/or in person) to discuss possible Honours projects and select potential supervisors – you can find information on the structure of the project part of the Honours course, and the contact details of relevant academics, on the Honours Research Project page.
You also need to discuss the selection of possible coursework topics (that will support your project selection) with your preferred supervisors - you can find information on the structure of the coursework part of the Honours course, and the topics from which a selection can be made, on the Honours Coursework page.
After at least two academics have agreed to potentially be your project supervisor then you will need to fill in, and submit, an application form for the School of Physics & Astronomy.

Note: Before starting the Honours course, you can still make changes to the details you submit in this application.
You need to apply to the Faculty of Science to enrol in an Honours course.
Note: If you are enrolled in the Bachelor of Science - Advanced Research (Honours) you DO NOT fill in the Faculty online form as you are already enrolled in an Honours course. However, you still need to go through "Steps 1-3" above. Your interaction with the Faculty will just be related to confirming (or not) your eligibility to continue - Faculty staff will contact you about this.
Remember there are scholarships available that you should consider applying for.
