Quality Supervision Course - PDM1174

The Quality Supervision Workshop can be undertaken as one full day, or as two half days. The workshop uses interactive peer-learning and reflective practice to explore the principles of quality supervision and the provision of effective feedback to learners (students, trainees and peers) across various contexts.

  • Effective feedback methods and their role in the supervision of learners
  • Barriers and enablers to effective supervision and feedback in the clinical workplace

Dr Kristie Matthews

Kristie is a Senior Lecturer in the Monash Centre for Scholarship in Health Education (MCSHE), and in the School of Primary and Allied Health Care. Kristie’s qualifications include a PhD, Master in Training and Development, and a Bachelor of Applied Science (Medical Radiations). Kristie was the Radiation Therapy Education Coordinator at Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre for six years, and continues to hold an honorary position as Radiation Therapy Academic Advisor. Kristie is an Associate Editor for the international journal Radiography, and an Associate Fellow of the Australian & New Zealand Association for Health Professional Educators. Kristie is passionate about optimising health professions student workplace learning through education and translational research that impacts student experiences and consumer outcomes.
