What does it cost to study at Monash?
The cost of your course depends on the type of place you’re offered.
Commonwealth supported places (CSP)
Most domestic undergraduate students receive a CSP. This means the Australian Government funds part of your course, and you pay a lower fee called the Student Contribution Amount (SCA). Learn more about Commonwealth supported places.
Full-fee paying places
If you're in a domestic full-fee place which is common for some postgraduate courses, you'll pay the full tuition cost. You may be eligible for a government loan (FEE-HELP) to defer your payments.
How to check your specific course fees:
- Visit our Find a course page and select your degree.
- Ensure the Domestic student dropdown is selected at the top of the page.
- Scroll down to the Applications and fees tab.
Note: Estimated fees are based on a standard, full-time course load of 48 credit points per year.
Student Services and Amenities Fee (SSAF)
The SSAF is a non-academic fee charged each teaching period. It funds vital university services, clubs, amenities and student support.
