Outcomes of the Master of Cybersecurity
Through the course, you’ll learn how to:
- critically evaluate existing systems using the theories, techniques and software tools available in the areas of cybersecurity, and propose improvements
- adapt new and emerging technologies in application development based on key principles of cybersecurity
- analyse and document core issues in building secure, effective systems
- competently design architectures for secure and trustworthy systems
- enhance existing systems with new technologies, learned through either a significant research thesis or research-based industry project
- examine issues and solutions in security and system design as they impact different communities
- understand the implications of ethical issues and norms in privacy and security

Qualifications
Entry level 1: | An Australian bachelor degree (or equivalent) not necessarily in IT, with at least a credit (60%) average. |
Entry level 2: | An Australian bachelor degree (or equivalent) in a cognate discipline including computing, computer science, software engineering, computer systems, electrical, electronic or communication engineering with completed studies in python programming, algorithms, computer architecture, operating systems and networks, systems analysis and design and databases with at least a credit (60%) average. |

Enrolment Obligations
International students enrolling in a CRICOS-registered course can study no more than one third (33%) of their course by distance and/or online learning. Students must enrol in at least one unit that is not by distance and/or online in each compulsory study period unless the student is completing the last unit of their course.
