For most, technology is ever-present and inseparable from our work, leisure and rest.It’s integral to how we experience and interpret the world. If you want to understand how people and technology influence each other,  this double degree could be for you. With IT majors and over 30 areas of study in arts, you could design a unique learning experience that gives you a hybrid edge and broadens your prospects, whether you choose a career in either field or both in combination.

After completing this double degree, you will be awarded the:

Bachelor of Information Technology
Bachelor of Arts.

Some suggestions on pairing your majors:

  • business information systems (IT) with behavioural studies (Arts) to help organisations improve business processes and implement them successfully
  • cybersecurity (IT) and criminology (arts) or human rights (arts) to explore how technology confronts the boundaries between public and private spaces
  • games and immersive media (IT) with communications and media studies (arts) to deliver games and experiences that are holistically appealing
  • software development (IT) with psychology (arts) to better understand users and create intuitive software

The Bachelor of Information Technology degree is accredited by the Australian Computer Society (ACS). Which means you’ll automatically be eligible to become a member, opening doors to invaluable networking and professional development opportunities.
