Health effects of climate change: professional development for practitioners

Prerequisites
Ideally suited for students who have completed at least one year of the medicine course (or an allied health course (incl. nursing, physio, nutrition, etc.). Students with a background and interest in professional education are also welcome to apply.
Additional details
This project involves working with a number of doctors and medical educators to develop useful learning tools for prefessional development education of practitioners around the topic of health impacts of global climate change. In particular, we will focus on development of a clinical teaching simulation for heat injuries, which can be used for teaching small groups of clinicians. If shortlisted, you would be asked to attend a Zoom interview in September, with a desired start date in late November.

Towards a Curriculum for Disaster Preparedness in Health Professions Education (HPE)

Prerequisites
1. Completed undergraduate degree and/or Honours year (e.g BMEd Sci).
2. Preference for applicants from health professions education backgrounds.
Additional details
1. As the main focus of this project is a scoping review of existing published and grey literature, preference will be given to applicants with experience in conducting scoping reviews.
2. The Summer Scholarship is for a total of 6 weeks, split as follows. The initial 4 weeks of the Summer Scholarship will be between Monday 23 November 2026 to Friday 18 December 2026. The final 2 weeks of the Summer Scholarship will be between Monday 15 to Friday 26 February 2027 (2 weeks).
3. Unless the successful candidate is based in West or Central Gippsland, the project meetings will be held online.
4. If shortlisted, applicants will be required to attend a short 15-10-minute online interview in September.
