The Master of Interpreting and Translation Studies combines practical internships with rigorous academic foundations to give you both the conceptual skills and industry experience for a successful career. Entry level 1: 96 points to complete Duration: 2 years full-time, 4 years part-time | An Australian bachelor degree (or equivalent) in any discipline* with at least credit (60%) average. or An Australian bachelor degree (or equivalent) and an Australian graduate certificate (or equivalent) in any discipline* with at least credit (60%) average in both qualifications. |
Entry level 2: 84 points to complete Duration: 1.75 years full-time, 3.5 years part-time. | An Australian bachelor honours degree (or equivalent) in a cognate discipline* with at least credit (60%) average. |
*Note: Applicants need to ensure they have advanced bilingual proficiency; as an indication, the level of language competence should be the equivalent of at least three years post-VCE study.
Depending upon your prior qualifications and experience you may be eligible for entry credit which reduces the duration of the program.
Suzhou
An Australian bachelor degree (or equivalent) in English translation or English interpretation. For SEU students: An equivalent score in the National Master Unified Entrance Examination will be utilised in place of the required WAM score of an undergraduate degree.

Enrolment Obligations
International students enrolling in a CRICOS-registered course can study no more than one third (33%) of their course by distance and/or online learning. Students must enrol in at least one unit that is not by distance and/or online in each compulsory study period unless the student is completing the last unit of their course.
