The Kenneth Hunt Memorial Scholarship is funded by donors to the University in memory of Professor Kenneth Hunt. From 1961 Professor Hunt let the Faculty of Engineering through its formative years at Monash as its inaugural Dean. He oversaw the establishment and expansion of the Chemical, Civil, Electrical ad Mechanical Engineering department and was instrumental in establishing the Department in Materials Engineering in 1970. This scholarship has been introduced to support equity student(s) studying Engineering.

Am I eligible?

You must be one of the following:

  • An Australian citizen
  • A New Zealand citizen
  • Australian permanent resident
  • Australian humanitarian visa holder

You must meet the following criteria:

  • Commencing or current student, enrolled in or intending to enrol in an undergraduate degree in the Faculty of Engineering at a Monash campus in Australia.
  • Experiencing financial hardship.

Benefits

  • $6000 per annum (48 credit points of study) for the duration of your degree.

Selection criteria

  • Awarded based on need.

To retain this scholarship:

  • You must maintain a Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of 50 each semester.
