Monash Graduate Impact 2030 Scholarship
These scholarships are awarded to students whose research aligns with one of the University Global Challenges (e.g. Thriving Communities, Climate Change and Geopolitical Security) as outlined in Impact 2030. The scholarship is available to support students with living costs whilst studying at a Monash campus in Australia.

Am I eligible?
You must be one of the following:
- An Australian citizen
- A New Zealand citizen
- Australian permanent resident
- Australian humanitarian visa holder
- An International student
You must meet the following criteria:
- have submitted a scholarship application in the current year;
- undertaking research which aligns with one of the University Global Challenges (e.g. Thriving Communities, Climate Change and Geopolitical Security) as outlined in Impact 2030;
- meet Monash's competitive scholarship selection process requirements; and
- meet Monash English language proficiency requirements.
This scholarship is also available to students undertaking Joint Research Awards when Monash University is the home institution.
Benefits
The Monash Graduate Impact 2030 Scholarship provides:
- a living allowance (stipend);
- a research allowance; and
- a relocation allowance, if eligible.
Number offered
Two scholarships per year:
- one in the Humanities and Social Sciences (HASS) disciplines.
- one in the Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) disciplines.
Selection criteria
Monash scholarships are highly competitive and are awarded based on academic excellence, research outputs and prior research experience.
The standard RTP Scholarships terms and conditions as outlined in the RTP Scholarship Procedures apply, with the exceptions outlined in the eligibility criteria above.
How to apply
Graduate research scholarships applications are submitted at the same time as your course application, unless you are already enrolled. Whether you are a new applicant or a current student, the myApp Portal is used for both course admission and scholarship applications. You do not need to select specific scholarships, eligible applicants are automatically considered for all available graduate research scholarships.
Note: This prestigious scholarship is awarded in the 31 October scholarship round only. Eligible applicants from Rounds 1 through to 4 (of the same year) will automatically be considered for nomination by the relevant faculty.
