Print & ShareThis major develops specialised knowledge of taxation law, regulation, policy and practice within the legal and commercial environment in which businesses operate. You will examine how taxation laws influence business decisions, financial reporting, compliance and economic activity. The major comprises eight units covering personal and business taxation, corporations law, banking and insolvency law, with electives such as corporate crime, sustainability regulation and international trade law. You will develop highly analytical and problem-solving skills by applying taxation legislation and other legal principles to practical business and individual scenarios – enhancing your employability for careers in taxation, accounting, financial services, government and business advisory roles.
