$12,000 International Alumni Study Grant

High-achieving alumni of Monash University may be eligible for an additional $12,000 study grant when progressing to a postgraduate course.

This grant recognises outstanding academic achievement and supports Monash graduates who want to continue their studies and make an impact in their field.

What you’ll receive

Eligible students may receive:

A one-off $12,000 study grant, applied across your first two semesters
Support alongside the 10% Monash Alumni Discount, which reduces your tuition fees for the duration of your master’s program
Grant payments applied to tuition fees when enrolled in at least 18 credit points per semester

Study grants are limited and subject to eligibility requirements.

Am I eligible?*

You may be eligible for the $12K Alumni Study Grant if you:

Are applying to study a postgraduate course at Monash University, Australia
Are commencing your studies in Semester 2, 2026
Are enrolled in on-campus or Monash Online study mode (some exceptions may apply)
Accept your offer by the lapse date specified in your International Student Course Agreement
Fit the eligibility criteria in the Monash Alumni Discount

*Please note:

No application is required; offers will be made based on academic criteria determined by the University
This grant cannot be combined with other study grants, discounts, scholarships or financial incentives, except the 10% Monash Alumni Discount
If you defer your course, the grant may not be available for a later intake
Some courses may be excluded. Please refer to the exclusions here.

Apply for a course

To be considered for the $12K Alumni Study Grant, you must first apply for a postgraduate course at Monash University.
Receive your offer

Eligible students will be assessed for the grant as part of the admissions process.
Accept your offer

To receive the grant, you must accept your offer by the lapse date listed in your offer letter.
