Achieving Potential Support Scholarship
Moving interstate to study, the scholarship I received significantly reduced the financial stress I experienced in my first year and allowed me to focus on my studies. I've been able to have a better work-life balance and focus on my hobbies.
Am I eligible?
You must be one of the following:
- An Indigenous Australian
You must meet the following criteria:
- Commencing student intending to enrol in an undergraduate course in the Faculty of Engineering at a Monash campus in Australia.
- Commencing (Yr 12) students must achieve an ATAR score of 80+.
- To be eligible you must provide a Confirmation of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Heritage certificate or a certified Statutory Declaration form to the William Cooper Institute. Benefits
$8000 per annum (48 credit points of study) for the duration of your degree.

Two scholarships available.
Selection criteria
- Awarded on academic achievement and need.
- Consideration will be given to applicants from one or more of Monash University's defined equity or personal disadvantage groups.
To retain this scholarship:
You must maintain a Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of 70 each semester.
How to apply
- VTAC applicants - If you think you might be eligible for an equity scholarship, ensure that you apply for the VTAC equity schemes (SEAS) to be automatically considered.
- Can be held concurrently with another indigenous scholarship such as the Achieving Potential Indigenous Support Scholarship.
- This scholarship cannot be deferred.
