Industry Leaders Scholarship

Industry Teams is a supervised industry project where a team of students work collaboratively with Monash University and/or an industry partner to address a defined project need. Based primarily at the Monash Innovation Labs, each project involves a team comprising an academic supervisor, an industry supervisor, and the student members.

This initiative provides students with the opportunity to apply independent thinking and problem-solving skills to develop or enhance products, methods, or services. Projects may be self-contained or form part of a larger innovation initiative.

The scholarship is funded by an Industry Partner via the Engineering Faculty.

Am I eligible?

You must be one of the following:

  • An Australian citizen
  • A New Zealand citizen
  • Australian permanent resident
  • Australian humanitarian visa holder
  • An International student

You must meet the following criteria:

  • Current student enrolled in an undergraduate or Master’s degree at a Monash campus in Australia.
  • Must be a member of a Monash Student Teams Initiative.
  • Conduct an interview with the industry partner.

Benefits

  • $4,500 per student paid over 6 months only ($2,250 paid over 2 consecutive quarters).

  • The number offered varies based on available funding.

Selection criteria

  • Based on interview success criteria.

How to apply

  • Can be deferred if the Industry partner agrees.
  • Opportunities will be advertised on Moodle sites and through the Student Teams.
