Isabella Scarlett Rossi
Walter and Eliza Hall Trust Opportunity Scholarship
As a student from a regional area and a single income family moving to Melbourne to go to university was a major commitment, receiving a scholarship has reduced the financial burden significantly on both myself and my family. Having of the support of a scholarship has meant I have been able to make the most out of university life, especially my course. I have been able to attend and enjoy my placements gaining important industry experience without major concern about the financial burden of the time off work. I have also been able to take part in campus social life, joining an orchestra and also being able to pursue my love of music alongside my degree as well as giving back to the community through the education faculty peer mentoring program. I do not take for granted the opportunities that I have been able to pursue thanks to the increased financial stability my scholarship has provided.
