Kath Byer Indigenous Scholarship

Achieving Potential Scholarship for Distinction

Indigenous students who aspire to study at Monash University are invited to apply for the Kath Byer Indigenous Scholarship. The scholarship is established in memory of the late Kath Byer OAM, fondly remembered as the licensee of the Notting Hill Pub (‘The Nott’).

I relocated to Melbourne for university and needed to support myself. With this scholarship, I was able to take up a research internship instead of having to work all summer.

As an Indigenous student, the William Cooper Institute has made an incredible impact on my student experience. I had help applying for scholarships and opportunities, received academic assistance with my studies, and attended social events to meet other Indigenous students.
