Achieving Potential Support Scholarship
The Faculty of Information Technology is seeking to improve access and participation to tertiary education for a range of equity defined groups. To support this initiative the Faculty is providing this grant to support students in their transition to University.

Receiving a scholarship has been my motivation to study harder. It has also given me more confidence in my studies, and pushed me to achieve higher grades which is important for my career goals. The financial support it provides has allowed me to take part in extracurricular activities such as the Monash Minds Leadership program, instead of having to find a part-time job.
Am I eligible?
You must be one of the following:
- An Australian citizen
- A New Zealand citizen
- Australian permanent resident
- Australian humanitarian visa holder
You must meet the following criteria:
- Commencing student intending to enrol in either the Bachelor of Information Technology or Bachelor of Computer Science degrees in the Faculty of Information Technology at a Monash campus in Australia.
- Have a low income or from a regional area.
Benefits
- $3000 one-off payment.
Number offered
- 100 scholarships available per year.
Selection criteria
- Consideration is given if, in addition to being a low income earner or you are from a regional area, you experience other forms of educational disadvantage.
To retain this scholarship:
- You must maintain a Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of 50 each semester.
How to apply
- VTAC applicants - If you think you might be eligible for an equity scholarship, ensure that you apply for the Special Entry Access Scheme (SEAS) through VTAC between Monday 31 July (9am) and Friday 6 October (5pm) to be automatically considered.
- This scholarship cannot be deferred.
