Achieving Potential International Scholarship
The Koto Dream Scholarship is designed to support outstanding Know One, Teaching One (KOTO) alumni who demonstrate strong academic potential, leadership capacity, and a clear commitment to social impact, enabling them to pursue undergraduate studies at Monash University overseas.
This scholarship reflects Monash University’s commitment to equity, access to education, and global social impact, while empowering first-generation learners from disadvantaged backgrounds to become future changemakers in their communities.

Sir John Monash Scholarship for Excellence
This scholarship has motivated me in my journey as a student in working towards my career aspirations. The support Monash has given me has extended not just financially but it has also increased my own confidence to know that I have the support of others around me. Being able to study in Melbourne is an opportunity that I will never take for granted.
Am I eligible?
You must be one of the following:
- An International student
You must meet the following criteria:
- An alumni of Know One, Teaching One (KOTO).
- Commencing student intending to enrol full-time in an undergraduate degree at a Monash campus in Australia
- Must be enrolled in one of the following areas:
- Business, Management, and Economics
- Communication, Media, and Social Sciences
- Sustainability, Development Studies, or related disciplines
Benefits
- 100% tuition sponsorship for course duration (maximum of three years)
- Accommodation fees to the value of a standard room in the Clayton or Peninsula Residential Village only, paid directly to Monash Residential Services (MRS) for three years.
- Payment of a single economy class return airfare, via the most direct route - $2,000 cash payment
- VISA processing fee - $2,000 cash payment
- OSHC Health insurance - valued at $2,511

- Awarded based on academic merit and equity.
- Demonstrated strong academic potential, leadership capacity, and a clear commitment to social impact.
To retain this scholarship:
You must maintain a distinction average (70% or above) each semester.
How to apply
- Eligible applicants will be assessed and shortlisted by KOTO Alumni Connects (KAC) and Monash International Admissions.
- This scholarship cannot be deferred
