The Monash Vice Chancellor ASEAN Onshore School Leavers award for International Students celebrates high-achieving international students with nationalities from ASEAN countries enrolling in an undergraduate (coursework) degree at a Monash campus in Australia.

MRS Accommodation Scholarship

The Monash Residential Services Accommodation scholarship provided much needed financial relief. As a rural student and a first-in-family to attend university, there were many changes that were coming for my first year of university that were stressful, thankfully because of this scholarship, financial stress was not as high allowing me to fully dedicate my time to my studies and enjoying life as a young person in a new, big city.

Am I eligible?

You must be one of the following:

  • An International student

You must meet the following criteria:

  • Commencing student enrolled in an undergraduate degree* at a Monash campus in Australia.
  • ATAR of 97 and above.
  • You must be from an ASEAN country.
  • You must have received a Monash course offer.

*Students enrolling in the in the Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (Honours) course or the Medical Science and Doctor of Medicine (MD), are not eligible.

Benefits

  • 20% tuition fees paid per annum for up to 3 years
  • Visa Processing fee - one-off $2000
  • Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC)- $2511 (covers 3 years and 4 months)
  • Myki (Local travel card) - $683 (one-off for 12 months)

Selection criteria

  • Award based on academic achievement.

To retain this scholarship:

  • You must maintain a Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of 70 each semester.
