Sir John Monash Fee Scholarship

The Vice-Chancellor’s ASEAN Award supports high-achieving undergraduate students to study at Monash, reinforcing our deep commitment and connection to the region – socially, economically and culturally.

The program is designed to ease the full cost of study for international students – combining tuition support, travel and relocation assistance, visa fee coverage, and other services into one bundled award.

Am I eligible?

You must be one of the following:

  • An International student

You must meet the following criteria:

  • Commencing student intending to enrol full-time in an undergraduate degree at a Monash campus in Australia.
  • You must be from one of 10 ASEAN member countries: Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.

  • 20% tuition fees paid up to 3 years.
  • Travel–payment of a single economy class airfare, via the most direct route - $2,000 cash payment
  • VISA processing fee - $2,000 cash payment
  • Relocation / settlement grant - $5,000 cash payment
  • Fast track local travel (One off – Myki 12 months) - $683 cash payment
  • Airport pick-up service - valued at $187
  • OSHC Health insurance - valued at $2,511

Selection criteria

  • Awarded through a merit-based competitive process.

To retain this scholarship:

  • You must maintain a distinction average (70% or above) each semester.
  • You must remain in the same degree that you were awarded the scholarship for. (Course transfers are not permitted).

How to apply

  • No application is required. All eligible students who apply for a relevant course at Monash will be automatically assessed.
