Women in Engineering Scholarship
Receiving this scholarship made me feel recognised as a high achieving woman in STEM. It pushes me to continue to work hard on my studies, whilst relieving the financial stress of starting university. I am grateful that Monash has this scholarship, inspiring more young women to study Engineering and know that they can aim and reach high standards.
Am I eligible?
You must be one of the following:
- An Australian citizen
- A New Zealand citizen
- Australian permanent resident
- Australian humanitarian visa holder
You must meet the following criteria:
- Commencing female student, intending to enrol in the Bachelor of Engineering single or double degree, in the Faculty of Engineering at a Monash campus in Australia.
- ATAR 95+ or ATAR 80+ for Indigenous Australians (Students applying through VTAC).
Benefits
- $8000 paid per 48 credit points of study for the minimum number of credit points required to complete the degree.
Number offered
- Six scholarships available per year.
Selection criteria
- Award based on academic achievement.
- Must identify as a female.
To retain this scholarship:
- You must maintain a minimum Weighted Average Mark of 70 each semester.
- For Indigenous Australians, you must maintain a minimum Weighted Average Mark of 60 each semester.

- No application is required. All eligible students will be automatically assessed.
- This scholarship cannot be deferred.
