Women in Engineering Scholarship

Receiving this scholarship made me feel recognised as a high achieving woman in STEM. It pushes me to continue to work hard on my studies, whilst relieving the financial stress of starting university. I am grateful that Monash has this scholarship, inspiring more young women to study Engineering and know that they can aim and reach high standards.

Am I eligible?

You must be one of the following:

  • An Australian citizen
  • A New Zealand citizen
  • Australian permanent resident
  • Australian humanitarian visa holder

You must meet the following criteria:

  • Commencing female student, intending to enrol in the Bachelor of Engineering single or double degree,  in the Faculty of Engineering at a Monash campus in Australia.
  • ATAR 95+ or ATAR 80+ for Indigenous Australians (Students applying through VTAC).

Benefits

  • $8000 paid per 48 credit points of study for the minimum number of credit points required to complete the degree.

Number offered

  • Six scholarships available per year.

Selection criteria

  • Award based on academic achievement.
  • Must identify as a female.

To retain this scholarship:

  • You must maintain a minimum Weighted Average Mark of 70 each semester.
  • For Indigenous Australians, you must maintain a minimum Weighted Average Mark of 60 each semester.

  • No application is required. All eligible students will be automatically assessed.
  • This scholarship cannot be deferred.
