MRS Accommodation Scholarship
The Monash Residential Services Accommodation scholarship provided much needed financial relief. As a rural student and a first-in-family to attend university, there were many changes that were coming for my first year of university that were stressful, thankfully because of this scholarship, financial stress was not as high allowing me to fully dedicate my time to my studies and enjoying life as a young person in a new, big city.
Am I eligible?
You must be one of the following:
- An Australian citizen
You must meet the following criteria:
- An Indigenous Australian
- Commencing or continuing student enrolled or intending to enrol in the Bachelor of Nursing or Midwifery at a Monash campus in Australia.
- To be eligible you must provide a Confirmation of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Heritage certificate or a certified Statutory Declaration form to the William Cooper Institute. Benefits
- $6,000 per 48 credit points per annum paid for the duration of your degree.
- Accommodation fees to the value of a standard room in the Clayton or Peninsula Residential Village, paid directly to Monash University Accommodation for the duration of your degree.

- Awarded based on need.
- Preference will be given to a female student.

- This scholarship cannot be deferred.
