Pride Community Scholarship
Achieving Potential Support Scholarship
The Pride Community Scholarship is awarded each year to a student who is LGBTIQA+ (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Intersex, Queer and/or Asexual). The Pride Community Scholarship is provided to one current student, per year, whose educational achievements may have been masked by their personal circumstances. The scholarship is awarded to a queer student, based on need - there is no specific WAM requirement. This scholarship is aimed at acknowledging the student’s efforts in advancing Monash’s inclusive culture and supporting them in their studies.

Am I eligible?
You must be one of the following:
- An Australian citizen
- A New Zealand citizen
- Australian permanent resident
- Australian humanitarian visa holder
You must meet the following criteria:
- Enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree (coursework) at a Monash campus in Australia.
- A student who is LGBTIQA+ (indicated in the scholarship application system)
- Must be experiencing difficult family and life circumstances.
Benefits
- $6000 paid for one year only.
- You will be invited to:
- Participate in the University’s Diverse Genders, Sexes and Sexualities (DGSS) Advisory Committee.
- Inform University-wide initiatives relating to LGBTIQA+ inclusion and empowerment.
- Meet with the DVC(E) Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Team.

- Awarded based on need.
- From one or more of Monash University’s defined equity or personal disadvantage groups.
