Raydon Graduate Research Scholarships

These prestigious top up scholarships are available to help support graduate research students studying in relevant Humanities and Social Sciences study areas with living costs whist studying at a Monash campus in Australia. The Raydon Scholarships are awarded in addition to a RTP Stipend or Monash Graduate Scholarship.

These scholarships are generously made possible through the philanthropic support of the Narodowski Investment Trust.

The following 6 scholarships will be awarded each year:

  • Alex Raydon and Nina Narodowski PhD Scholarship (x 2)
  • Max and Riva Radunski PhD Scholarship
  • Sam and Nina Narodowski PhD Scholarship
  • Sonia Narodowski PhD Scholarship

Having a scholarship has made it possible to support myself away from home while studying. I've been able to participate more in class, take up an international placement and volunteer with not-for-profit causes to strengthen my skills for my future career.

Am I eligible?

You must be one of the following:

  • An Australian citizen
  • A New Zealand citizen
  • Australian permanent resident
  • Australian humanitarian visa holder
  • An International student

You must meet the following criteria:

Study areas: Social justice, social inclusion, human rights, sustainability or environment, or social policy for the betterment of society

Faculties: Art, Design and Architecture; Arts; Education and Law only

This scholarship is also available to students undertaking Joint Research Awards when Monash University is the home institution.

Raydon scholarships provide a living allowance top up (stipend).

Selection criteria

Monash scholarships are highly competitive and are awarded based on academic excellence, research outputs and prior research experience.

The standard RTP Scholarships terms and conditions as outlined in the RTP Scholarship Procedures apply, with the exceptions outlined in the terms and conditions specific to these scholarships.

How to apply

Graduate research scholarships applications are submitted at the same time as your course application, unless you are already enrolled.  Whether you are a new applicant or a current student, the myApp Portal is used for both course admission and scholarship applications.  You do not need to select specific scholarships, eligible applicants are automatically considered for all available graduate research scholarships.

Note: This prestigious scholarship is awarded in the 31 October scholarship round only. Eligible applicants from Rounds 1 through to 4 (of the same year) will automatically be considered for this scholarship.
