The Master of Clinical Simulation qualifies you to apply principles and theories that inform educational practice in a range of clinical simulation and other relevant contexts to undertake professional and highly skilled work and as educators and simulationists in the health professions.

The Master of Clinical Simulation qualifies you to apply principles and theories that inform educational practice in a range of clinical simulation and other relevant contexts to undertake professional and highly skilled work and as educators and simulationists in the health professions.This practice-based qualification builds on the existing Graduate Certificate of Clinical Simulation. It is suitable for a broad range of health professionals and others who are, or will be, engaged in simulation-based education. This includes the teaching, assessment, evaluation, curriculum design, scenario design, debriefing, mentoring and supervision of health professionals in a range of clinical and other contexts. The qualification is also suited to health professionals who use simulation for healthcare service quality improvement or systems testing. However, the use of simulation as an educational method is prioritised. You have the option of taking an education practice or a research practice capstone. The research capstone can articulate to a PhD.

You need to satisfy the following entrance requirements to be considered for entry to this course.

Minimum Entry Requirements (Domestic students)

Qualifications

Entry level 1: 72 points to complete – Duration: 3 years part-time.

An Australian bachelor degree (or equivalent) in any health-related qualification with at least a pass (50%) average


OR


OR An Australian bachelor degree (or equivalent) with a minimum of 2 years equivalent full-time work experience in a health-related profession

Entry level 2: 48 points to complete – Duration: 2 years part-time.

An Australian bachelor degree (or equivalent) in any health-related qualification with at least a pass (50%) average with a minimum of 2 years equivalent full-time work experience in a health-related profession


OR


An Australian bachelor honours degree (or equivalent) in any health-related qualification with at least a pass (50%) average


OR


An Australian graduate certificate (or equivalent) in any health-related qualification with a minimum of 2 years equivalent full-time work experience in a health-related profession


OR


An Australian graduate diploma or master’s degree (or equivalent) from any health-related qualification

English requirements

Applicants must also meet the English language requirements.
