Master's degree
The Master of Health Professions Education qualifies you to apply principles and theories that inform educational practice in a range of clinical and other relevant contexts to undertake professional and highly skilled work and as educators in the health professions.
This practice-based qualification builds on the existing Graduate Certificate of Health Professions Education. It is suitable for a broad range of health professionals who are, or will be, engaged in the teaching, assessment, evaluation, curriculum design, mentoring and supervision of health professionals in a range of clinical and other contexts.
You have the option of taking an education practice or a research practice capstone. The research capstone can articulate to a PhD.

Minimum Entry Requirements (Domestic students)
Qualifications
| Entry level 1: 72 points to complete – Duration: 3 years part-time. | An Australian bachelor degree (or equivalent) in any health-related qualification with at least a pass (50%) average OR An Australian bachelor degree (or equivalent) with a minimum of 2 years equivalent full-time work experience in a health-related profession |
| Entry level 2: 48 points to complete – Duration: 2 years part-time. | An Australian bachelor degree (or equivalent) in any health-related qualification with at least a pass (50%) average with a minimum of 2 years equivalent full-time work experience in a health-related profession OR An Australian bachelor honours degree (or equivalent) in any health-related qualification with at least a pass (50%) average OR An Australian graduate certificate (or equivalent) in any health-related qualification with a minimum of 2 years equivalent full-time work experience in a health-related profession OR An Australian graduate diploma or master’s degree (or equivalent) in any health-related qualification |

Current Monash students
You may apply to transfer from another Monash course. Transfers are a competitive process. You may apply mid-year for available courses however consideration will be given as to whether you will be able to follow your course progression.
Please note that if you apply for a course transfer, you should still enrol in your current course as if you were continuing so as not to jeopardise your enrolment in the Faculty if your transfer application is unsuccessful. More about Course Transfer.
