- You may apply for a non-approved destination course. Your application will be assessed individually. One year advanced standing is not guaranteed.
Important note for all applicants for a double degree with the Faculty of Education courses:
All applicants must sit Casper. Casper is a requirement for many of the initial teacher education courses in Victoria. It is a non-cognitive online test designed to assess an applicant's personal and professional attributes. The test is designed to evaluate an applicant's suitability for the teaching profession.
To register for your sitting or further information about the test visit https://takealtus.com.
Casper is only available online and must be taken once per admission cycle and prior to your Monash course commencement date. To ensure you meet the Casper deadlines for your application go to https://takealtus.com/dates-times/

Due to the late release of Diploma results in June and February, you can request for a conditional CoE. A Conditional CoE will allow you to apply for a student visa.
Submit your request for a Conditional CoE at the same time as you submit your course application form. Your request will be assessed the same way as your course application, and if eligible, will be granted.
You must read and understand the following about the Conditional CoE:
- The Conditional CoE does not signify a Full Offer for your course. It will assist you with a visa to arrive in Melbourne before your compulsory enrolment, but you will still be required to satisfy all the conditions of your offer before you can attend enrolment. If you do not satisfy all your course offer conditions, the CoE will be cancelled. An alternative course for which you qualify may be offered and a new CoE will be emailed to you if you accept. Monash is obligated to advise the Australian Government Department of Home Affairs (DHA) of CoE cancellations.
- When you request for a Conditional CoE, you agree to take responsibility for all expenses incurred by you, including travel expenses. Course refunds will be processed according to the refund policy as stipulated in your conditional offer letter.
Request for Conditional CoE may be obtained from your Monash College partner institution by submitting an online request to Monash.
If your request for Conditional CoE is not approved, you will need to wait for a Full Offer before you can accept and an CoE is issued to you. You may need to consider deferring to the next available intake if you cannot arrive in time for enrolment.
|I will complete or partially* complete the Diploma in…|
|October||You don’t need to apply for a conditional CoE if your courses commence in February or March.|
|February||You should apply for a conditional CoE|

Your application will be assessed for an offer. If successful, you will receive an email from Central Admissions.
If your request for a Conditional CoE is approved, you will be invited to accept your Conditional Offer. Accept your offer as quickly as possible.
Once your Diploma results are released, your application will be re-assessed. If you meet all the admissions requirements for your destination course, you will be emailed a Full Offer. You can proceed to attend your compulsory enrolment and participate in orientation.
If you did not satisfy the admission requirement for your destination course, you may receive a Full Offer for an alternative course for which you qualify. You will be required to complete the International Student Agreement for the alternative course. A new CoE will be emailed to you.
