This course gives health professionals the attitudes, skills and knowledge necessary to responsibly provide preventive health services to both reduce the health impacts of disease and injury and assist to systematically address hazards arising from workplaces and within communities.
The course caters for the special needs of medical practitioners, nurses, allied health personnel, scientists or OHS managers wishing to develop adaptable and responsible skills as OHS and environmental health practitioners. The course is offered by off-campus learning however compulsory block attendance is required each semester.

Minimum Entry Requirements (Domestic students)
Qualifications
An Australian bachelor degree (or equivalent) in a cognate discipline.
English requirements
Applicants must also meet the English language requirements.
University entrance requirements
Minimum entrance requirements for admission to Monash University Australia.

- Statement of purpose (250 words maximum) outlining reasons for undertaking course.
Alternative qualification
The course comprises 48 points of Occupational and Environmental Health studies. In these studies, you will gain an introduction to occupational health and safety, in identifying risks and hazards in the workplace and understanding the epidemiology of occupational and environmental diseases and injuries.
You will learn to prevent and manage such risks and hazards and to implement occupational safety systems in the workplace.
