Master of Business Innovation - B6027
Expert master's degree
The Master of Business Innovation is a postgraduate degree designed for experienced professionals, particularly managers who engage with complex, real-world business challenges while undertaking formal study.
The course curriculum is deliberately multidisciplinary, integrating contemporary theories, analytical frameworks, and applied methodologies to cultivate solution-oriented and innovative thinking. Assessment design is informed by the Minto Method—a structured rhetorical framework widely employed by leading global strategy consultancies such as McKinsey & Company, the Boston Consulting Group, and Bain & Company. Each assessment task invites you to demonstrate your ability to translate theoretical knowledge into practice by pitching a solution to an organisational problem of their choice.
You are encouraged to draw upon your professional experience to enrich classroom discussions and to test and refine your ideas through dialogue with peers. This applied orientation ensures that assessments function as authentic learning experiences, enabling you to address contemporary business challenges while developing advanced analytical, strategic, and reflective capabilities.
The program further promotes a comprehensive understanding of diverse business models and organisational contexts by leveraging the collective expertise of participants. Its pedagogical approach emphasises interactive and experiential learning, critical debate, and the cultivation of collegiality within a professional learning community. Each unit incorporates opportunities for collaboration, communication, and presentation, ensuring that graduates are equipped to apply theoretical insight to practical, high-impact business innovation.
