Course Handbook

This double degree equips you to lead across complex global environments by combining core capabilities in management, marketing, and digital communications. Grounded in the United Nations-supported Principles of Responsible Management Education (PRME), the Master of Management builds your understanding of management and human resource theory to address complex organisational challenges. Complementing this, the Master of Marketing and Digital Communications develops key competencies in digital marketing, crisis management, audience research, and data analytics, empowering you to deliver effective, ethical strategies across public, corporate, and non-profit sectors.

Notes

Marketing and Digital Communications studies must be completed at the Indonesian campus prior to travelling to Australia to complete the Master of Management at the Caulfield campus. Travel to Australia to undertake your Master of Management is only permitted where you are in good-standing with no encumbrances.

You need to satisfy the following entrance requirements to be considered for entry to this course.

Eligibility requirements

An Australian bachelor degree (or equivalent) with a major or a minor* in a cognate discipline** with at least a high credit (65%) average or equivalent Grade Point Average (GPA).

OR

An Australian bachelor degree (or equivalent) and at least two years of relevant professional experience***.

Equivalent Indonesian qualification

Indonesian bachelor’s degree in a major or a minor* in a cognate discipline** with: Accreditation A or B with a minimum GPA 2.9, or Accreditation C with a minimum GPA of 3.4.

OR

Indonesian bachelor’s degree with: Accreditation A or B with a minimum GPA 2.9, or Accreditation C with a minimum GPA of 3.4 and at least two years of relevant professional experience***.

Additional requirements

*A minor is at least four units (equivalent to 24 Monash credit points).

**Cognate disciplines include: arts, business, commerce, economics, engineering, law, management, humanities, science or social science disciplines.

***Applicants applying on the basis of work experience are required to provide a detailed Curriculum Vitae (CV) outlining their employment history and professional experience and two references from their employer.

English requirements

Applicants for this program must meet English Level A.

Current Monash students

You may apply to transfer from another Monash course. Transfers are a competitive process. You may apply mid-year for available courses however consideration will be given as to whether you will be able to follow your course progression.

Please note that if you apply for a course transfer, you should still enrol in your current course as if you were continuing so as not to jeopardise your enrolment in the Faculty if your transfer application is unsuccessful. More about Course Transfer.

Fees

If any part of your double degree is undertaken in Australia, you will be required to pay the Monash Australia fee. The first master’s degree in the double degree program must be completed at the Monash University, Indonesia campus before travelling to the Monash University Australia campus to complete the second master’s degree.

The annual tuition fee for the master’s program is IDR 224 million for Indonesian students and IDR 248 million for international students.
